How we look after your data
We only collect what we need, we explain why, and we never sell it. This page describes what happens to your personal data when you use this website.
Last updated:
1. Who is responsible
New Generation Portugal is an informal group of young people based in the rural area of Portalegre district, Portugal. We are responsible for this website and for the personal data described on this page.
You can reach us at any time at new.gen.portugal@gmail.com.
2. What data we collect and why
- Contact and Join Us forms: your name, email address, who you are writing as and your message. We use them only to answer you. Legal basis: your consent.
- Newsletter: your email address, to send you news and calls for participation. Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Technical data: like every website, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and the pages requested, in server logs, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
- Cookie choice: your answer to the cookie notice is saved in your browser so we do not ask again. It is not sent to us.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
This website only uses what it needs to work. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and the fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
If we add analytics or content from other services, such as videos, we will ask for your consent first or load them only when you choose to play them. You can review your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer.
4. Who receives your data
We do not sell your data. We only share it with the services we need to run the website and to answer you:
- Vercel Inc. (United States) hosts the website. Transfers outside the European Economic Area rely on the safeguards the GDPR provides, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
- Our email service, to receive and answer your messages.
- The service that delivers our newsletter, when it is connected. We will name it here.
5. How long we keep it
- Messages: for as long as needed to answer you and, if we end up working together, for as long as the collaboration lasts. Otherwise we delete them after 12 months.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs: for the short period set by our hosting provider.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy of it (portability) and withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.
To use any of these rights, write to new.gen.portugal@gmail.com. We will answer within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt.
7. Young people
The forms and the newsletter are meant for people aged 13 or over. If you are younger, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, for example when we connect a new service, we will update this page and the date above.
